In “Barcelona II”, the city is present not through its recognizable streets and facades, but as a feeling – composed of signs, memories and fragments of experienced space. The composition is reminiscent of an archaeology of memory, in which each element carries its own history, and the connections between them remain open to the viewer’s imagination.
Earthy ochres and muted blue tones create an atmosphere of warmth and time, while bright color accents act as landmarks in a mysterious inner landscape. Figurative hints, architectural motifs and symbolic forms coexist in Hranov’s characteristic visual language, where the real and the imaginary intertwine without a clear boundary.
The work brings a sense of silence and contemplation. Rather than telling a specific story, it invites a personal journey through the layers of memory, where the city becomes a metaphor for human presence, traces of time and the constant search for meaning.
