Ship of Fools II

“Ship of Fools II” is a multi-layered visual allegory in which Onnik Karanfilyan interweaves motifs from the medieval parable of the “ship of fools” with current reflections on human nature and modern society. The composition is saturated with symbols characteristic of the author – references to knowledge, delusions, aspirations and the fragile balance between wisdom and vanity. With exceptional graphic precision and subtle irony, the work invites the viewer to reflect on the direction in which humanity chooses to sail, and on the role of each of us in this journey.
