In "Age of Aquarius," Onnik Karanfilyan juxtaposes the vulnerable human body with the cold precision of a machine. A hunched figure, bound in ropes, stands opposite an upright humanoid form, from whose head electronic elements appear to spill forth. The deep black background and delicate linework intensify the tension between the organic and the mechanical. The work raises questions about humanity’s place in a new era - and the price of progress.
