Dimo Milanov is among the established names of contemporary Bulgarian graphics – an artist who combines virtuoso mastery of classical techniques with sensitivity to detail and narrative. Born in 1967 in Varna, he graduated from the Secondary Special Art School for Industrial Forms and Design in Kazanlak with a degree in Fine Arts in 1986.

He works in the fields of graphics, illustration, book layout and graphic design, with a special place in his work being occupied by the ex-libris – a genre in which he has won international recognition. His works are distinguished by precise drawing, rich imagination and attention to the symbol, turning each composition into a carefully constructed visual narrative.

Over the years, Milanov has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in prestigious international biennials and graphic design competitions. He has won awards from international forums in Serbia, China and Poland, and his works are in collections in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

His contribution to the development of bookplates in Bulgaria as a co-founder and member of the jury of the International Bookplate Competition in Varna is particularly significant. Today, Dimo ​​Milanov continues to actively create and present new exhibitions, working equally confidently in the field of graphics and painting.

His art impresses with the rare combination of technical mastery and narrative power - qualities that rank him among the recognizable contemporary Bulgarian graphic artists.
