Hristo Kerin is among the most established contemporary Bulgarian graphic artists - an author for whom the mastery of technique and the power of storytelling go hand in hand. Born in 1966 in Pazardzhik, he graduated from the Tsanko Lavrenov Art High School in Plovdiv, and later majored in Graphics at the University of Veliko Tarnovo. Even as a young artist, he chose the complex world of classical graphics and devoted decades to perfecting techniques such as drypoint, etching and mezzotint - areas in which he is today recognized as one of the leading Bulgarian masters.

In Kerin's works, mythology, literature and history become a source of images and symbols. Heroes such as Don Quixote, Samson and Delilah, Aphrodite or characters from Shakespeare's sonnets come to life in compositions filled with exceptional precision and rich imagination. Whether he creates large-format graphics or miniature ex-libris, the author builds a world in which every detail matters, and each work brings the feeling of a completed visual story.

A special place in his work is occupied by the ex-libris - a genre in which Hristo Kerin has won international recognition and is considered one of the best contemporary masters. Over the years, he has participated in over 150 international exhibitions, biennials and competitions in Europe, Asia and America, and among his numerous awards are first prizes from prestigious international forums in Italy and Spain, as well as awards from Taiwan and other world centers of graphic art.

In parallel with his active creative activity, Kerin devotes a significant part of his life to teaching. Since 1993, he has been part of the Department of Graphics at the University of Veliko Tarnovo, and today he is an associate professor and among the most respected teachers in the field of graphic art in Bulgaria.

Today, Hristo Kerin continues to actively create, participate in exhibitions and develop a body of work in which classical graphics remain alive and relevant. His works impress not only with their virtuoso technique, but also with their ability to transform literature, history and human imagination into images that remain in the memory long after the encounter with them.
