Gencho Nakev was born in 1962 in Kazanlak. He graduated from the Art High School in Kazanlak and the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", specializing in "Painting".
Nakev has presented exhibitions in Sofia, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Vidin, Pleven, and Plovdiv. His paintings are owned by private collections in Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, the USA, France, Canada, Great Britain, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
